Made a simple video of my present work on Il14., showing new panels and moving parts of the plane
Yesterday i started to paint a cockpit and close to evening made a few liveries.
Now my IL14 will come in four variants: Grey, Aeroflot, Polar aviation and USSR AirForce.
Here some new screens:
Work is going on :)
First of all i want to excuse for may bad english. It's not my native language, and sometimes i do make misstakes.
A few mounth ago i started to learn of making models for X-Plane flight simulator. I started from ATC tower and then in associate with Alexander Babichev aka Asso i workerd on Yakovlev Yak-40 model. There were made a lot of russian avionics. But now, when i'we got some financial troubles, i started my first payware model - Ilyushin IL-14.
In future i plan to make a lot of russian historic planes, such as: An24, Mi-8, Mi-26, Tu-134, Il-62. An-124, An-225. Maybe Il-2, Il-4, Po-2 (U-2) and other.
I saw a lot of payware models for X-Plane. Some are really good, some - not. So i made a few requirements for my further models:
1 - model must have identical dynamics as a real plane
2 - model must looks as a real plane, including all of moving parts
3 - model must have a fully working 3D cockpit with maximum of identical gauges and systems
4 - model must have some improvements to make it unique
As for my present work on IL-14, i plan to do next:
- full visal model with all animation of all moving parts
- fully functional 3D cockpit with working places of navigator and radioman
- visualisation of separation of wings, engines and gears
- all russian gauges and custom logic, based on open plugin (source codes for gauges will be open too)
- 2D panels like MSFS
- nessesary of preflight check of plane (caps on engines, Pitots, gear blocks)
- menu for calculation and loading of fuel, pax and cargos with moving CG
- variants of panels with russian and english signs
- few liveries (Aeroflot, Aeroflot Polar aviation, USSR Air Force, Interflug)
Now i working on pain of cabin and cockpit and soon start to draw and write gauges, failures, checks, menus and so on.
The present screens can be found here:
Work is going on, and i must say, that during it, i found a lot of new friends. Even an old pilot, who flew this plane in past and was glad to help :)
